The Ansion [ann-see-onn] is the latest musical outlet from Scottish guitarist Jon Innes. The Ansion's American debut release titled "That Is The Way of Things" is presented in conjunction with a digital download companion "A Day Late and a Dollar Short", which is comprised of outtakes from the "Way of Things" sessions. The Ansion's music blends programmed beats and live instrumentation to create a fresh organic feel. On "That is the Way of Things" elements of danceable percussion and contemplative moments are mixed with complex instrumentation to create a body of work that will appeal to many musical tastes.

Customer Reviews
It really is the way of things.
Managing to avoid the cliched dynamics associated with many "post-rock" artists, Jon Innes has composed an album of dense beauty; with a confidence and maturity that belies his age.
The Ansion has surely shifted the paradigm as to what constitutes a truly great instrumental act. Sharing the same sonic shelf as luminaries Labradford, The Album Leaf, Growing and Eluvium; The Ansion has perfectly combined live instrumentation, skittering electronica and beats that echo Aphex Twin at his most low-key.
To say that Jon has created a fresh organic feel only scratches the surface.
This is an album to lose yourself in...and find yourself in.
5 Stars...a must for everyone who appreciates music.
Rob
