Product Description

Chicago's Sybris is a quartet of powerful grace, the sound of a battalion of Valkyries astride winged horses bound for Valhalla. Propelled by singer Angela Mullenhour's sugar-coated knife-edge voice, a unique entity in itself, brimming with shattering potential and weighted with its own world-weariness; elegant, bruised, but never defeated.

"There's no such thing as too much reverb for Chicago's Sybris." --Spin.com

Sybris returns!!!5
A highly anticipated follow up to their S/T Flameshovel debut, In To The Trees is everything I could have hoped for. All the Sybris trademarks are there: Soaring vocals, catchy hooks, tight arrangments, washed out reverb.

I found myself cranking the hell out of this cd while driving around with the windows down on a fine spring day. Just in time for summer.

Also, their live show is amazing. Catch them while they are on tour in May and June.

Absurdly Good Follow-up Record5
On one hand, I feel selfish because I just don't want to share Sybris with anyone else. On the other hand, Into the Trees relates harmoniously on so many levels, that you can't help but expose others to what they've been missing.

Fluctuating between eerily soft and dreary, to crashingly melodic; this is honest, unpolluted stream-of-thought music which keeps an addictive pace.

It was difficult to imagine how Sybris would follow up to their first album, but they have in spades. Into the Trees is everything you could ask for in a post-shoe gazer(?), unpolluted band. Brilliant.
