Product Description

This is the duo's third album, and the title is a reference to a short film by Norman McLaren, the pioneering Oscar-winning animator and electronic composer, who was fond of direct film animation (the technique of physically manipulating or painting on film frame by frame) and stop-start animation. His meticulousness is much like the band's process of composing and sequencing their music. There's a measured restraint that's rarely employed in modern pop music and it's the precision and restraint in the arrangements that serves to magnify what is there. And what is there is exceptional.

Magic lives on4
Love the Junior Boys- just can't get enough. Needless to say, I was pleased to hear about this new album! No disappointments, except for maybe the limited number of tracks. That's OK- if greats like Metallica can get away with 8 tracks per album, I'll let these guys get away with it, too.

The point, though, is this: if you're already a fan of the Junior Boys' ethereal sound, sultry lyrics, fantastically listenable blend of electro-pop, dance, down-tempo, etc., then I have no doubt this will become another hit in your book. You just can't go wrong.

If you're not familiar- check this album out! You'll be glad you did. You'll be listening to it all the way through time and time again.

Completely fresh!4
Junior Boys are perfect mix of fresh electonic beats with oh so pleasing lyrics and vocals. I was waiting for this one for awhile and right out of the plastic wrap was pleasantly surprised. A bit short at just over 47 minutes long, but definitely worth having in the collection.

Glory Centric5
My goodness, since my birth I have always suspected Junior Boys to be without question one of the greatest musicians to have ever graced humanity, and this CD proves it. If the inbetween releases (No Kinda Man, and Jackie Junior, respectively) were any clue as to the glory that would be found within this CD, those two tracks were myre preludes to this work of art. From the opening track I found my own body shifting into alternate realms, questioning my own existence and asking why I was allowed to survive long enough to enjoy this CD, and thank God I have.

This CD is leaps and bounds over So this is Goodbye, which was spectacular in its own right, and much of this CD is very distinguishable from their last, and alot closer to thier inbetween releases, which I think was a move for the better. Yet this CD still smolders with honey and that lovely desperate falsetto I have grown to love. Though the cd is "Only" (emphasis on quotes) 8 tracks in length, the depth found within each will probably take an entire life to appreciate. I cannot praise this CD enough, and there is literally not a single track on here that I despise. The cultivation and hard work poured so wonderfully into each track is clear, and the unparalleled talent of these artists has grown so much. I used to miss the original producer that worked on Last exit, and maybe I still do in some ways, but in the end, this CD is it. Wrap yourself up with a lover, and subject your atoms to this masterful work. I am astonished with the quality of this CD, and I only wish their work could be more appreciated. No Junior Boys fan should be without, and really, no lover of quality should either.

Well done Junior Boys.
