Product Description

The Chia Seed is an amazing food. For centuries many have used the seeds for a host of different reasons. Native Americans would take a pouch of seeds and a gourd of water on their trips. The seeds were their food source and taken with the water they would hydrate their bodies for endurance. When you hydrate the seeds in water the seeds shell opens up and absorbs up to nine times its volume in water. This then forms a gel, which is called Chia Seed Gel. The gel helps keep your body hydrated. The gel is also 90% soluble fiber, which is beneficial for your digestive track. People use the seeds when they are involved in sports or physical activities for endurance.

Customer Reviews

Chia Seeds, Healthy and Versatile5
We have been using chia seeds as a regular part of our diet for over two years. After researching the benefits of chia seeds I decided to start consuming them. The information on chia's calcium, omega 3, and protein content alone was enough to catch my attention. Being lactose intolerant and wanting to use foods which provide quality calcium was the initial reason for learning more about chia seeds. I was also impressed at the omega 3 and protein connection as those two elements were of personal interest. My research found that there is so much more to the chia story which only added to my decision to try this food source.

I use the chia seeds in a variety of ways. It is added to recipes from main dishes to desserts, to smoothies. It is a winner that I will continue to utilize in food preparation.

Our Search for Fiber!!5

My husband and I felt we needed extra fiber in our diet, but where to start. Of course we turned to our computers, and spent many hours searching.
Finally we found an article about Chia Seed, found it very interesting, then we read everything we could get our hands on to learn more!!

I am Gluten Intolerant, so have to be very careful of the foods I eat, whereas my husband can eat whatever he desies.

Thanks to the growers of the seeds, the distributers of the product, and those who spend their time putting the information available for people with computers.

Sincerely,
Margaret and John
