Pure junk
Bought this as combined with a Canon camera.
Simply stated, it doesn't charge the batteries at all.
don't waste your money on this.
Doesn't deserve any stars.
Don't buy this charger
I bought the charger before the Pure Junk review was posted - wish I had waited! The AA batteries won't even stay in the charger, so no wonder they don't charge. I bought a Canon camera for my son, and this charger was "recommended" by Amazon - what a disappointment. Why did Amazon suggest something that is truly junk?
Pure junk is an accurate description
I thought it made sense to buy this along with my new camera, especially since Amazon recommended pairing them up. When I received it one thing I noticed is there is no useful information on the package. I plugged it in and the single light comes on. Does that mean charged or charging? The next day the light was still on so it must mean it is receiving power. Since they had plenty of time to charge I put them in the camera. I usually take eight or ten pictures, turn the camera off, take eight or ten, turn it off, etc. Less than a hundred pictures and low battery light is blinking! Alkaline lasted at least ten times as long. Since my camera only takes two batteries this would give me two sets. Big deal! If I left the house with it I would use those up and need another set within a day. I usually buy a pair and they will last at least a full week of vacation. That's what I'll do, using these would be a waste of time.
