Movies at a touch of a button
Why have boxes of movies all over your home when you can just place them here, 400 in total and at a touch of a button with your control you can see your favorite movie in seconds. It's also a conversation piece because not many people have one. Inside you will see that it has numbers from 1 to 400. Make a list as you place your DVD on the number, this way it will be very easy for you to check out your list when you want to view a movie, pick up your control and enter the number, in seconds you will view your movie. It has an automatic start from where you last viewed your movie so that you don't have to start all over again if you have to turn off the DVD player. Isn't that Great, I LOVE IT! It can also be used to play CD's. Don't forget to write out your list.

It doesn't get any better than this
I have been retired for nearly 7 years, and since I probably have a lot more spare time on my hands than a lot of other people, I like to make it a strict practice to review and very HONESTLY rate nearly everything I purchase, no matter where I purchase an item from. I truly feel that if I can help just one other potential buyer make an expensive decision, as to whether or not to spend their hard-earned dollars on any particular item, then I also feel that I may have helped another human being in making the right decision, or prevented them from making a huge or costly mistake. With all that now said, I must admit at the beginning of this review that this particular item honestly deserves EXTREMELY high marks in EVERY area, and here my reasons why.

Actually, I purchased not one, but two of these units back in 2005. One unit was for our 67" Samsung HD-TV in our living room, and another unit was for our 52" Samsung HD-TV in our bedroom. BOTH of our units are now completely full of DVDs, with a few CDs thrown in within the mix. BOTH of our units have worked absolutely flawlessly now for over 3 years. I have NEVER had any problems at all with either unit. I've never had a DVD jam in either unit, and I've never experienced any scratches on any DVD that I'm aware of. We have watched a few of our favorite DVDs over and over again, with no problems at all.

Like the one other reviewer mentioned, I also created a full list of all my available DVDs on an Excel spreadsheet, and added each DVD to my list as I added a new DVD to each unit. The DVDs are placed in each unit in no particular order. Although you can also use the internal menu to enter and to describe each individual DVD/CD (which you can then view on your TV screen), however, I find that it's actually much easier if (for example), you are looking for a particular episode of the 3rd year release of The Rockford Files, and you already know from your external list that the DVD is in slot #352. I just punch in number 352 on my remote, and I'm soon watching my favorite episode of The Rockford Files.

I guess the number one thing that I love the most about this DVD player is the fact that I was able to get rid of all those useless empty DVD boxes that I had stored on 5 huge shelves, and I condensed my entire DVD collection down to a very small, well organized little black box. I also love the fact that it will store (in its internal memory), the exact point where you left off watching, up to the last 10 DVDs. Once you click on the STOP button twice for any DVD, it then erases that DVD from its last memory point. It will still recognize and remember what's on that particular DVD, however it will start that particular DVD from the very beginning, the next time you want to play it. It's actually extremely simple to use. I have no idea how I got along without one of these for as long as I did. Now that I've own one, I honestly want to kick myself for not purchasing one earlier. Anyone that has over 50 DVDs in their collection, truly ought to seriously consider purchasing one of these. I really mean that, otherwise I would NOT make that statement.

The quality is also superb. Sure it's not as clear as a Blu-Ray unit, but it's not intended to be. I'd give it 5 STARS in all the following areas:
