A two-day retreat at Findhorn, Scotland — famous as a spiritual center on the leading edge of personal and global transformation — offered an ideal showcase for Eckhart Tolle's transformative concepts. These are documented in this exciting package containing a book and two DVDs that capture the author at his best. Using his trademark light-hearted but penetrating style, Tolle explores in depth the concept of stillness and how to achieve it. Only by doing so, says the author, can transformation occur. Stillness offers a doorway into the Now and to true personal enlightenment, according to Tolle. Too often, people become trapped in their mind-created sense of self. He explains the compulsions that drive people’s thoughts as they analyze, interpret, and label every conscious experience they have, which results is an inability to perceive the sacredness in oneself and the natural world. Eckhart Tolle's Findhorn Retreat offers serene sanity in a world in desperate need of it.

Editorial Reviews
From Publishers Weekly
Tolle is well known for his teachings on stillness and inner peace, including his bestseller The Power of Now; he's also known for Findhorn, a spiritual community and retreat center in Scotland. Listeners can experience Tolle and Findhorn themselves in this audio production, which includes four talks he gave during a two-day retreat. Each CD contains one hour-long talk and focuses on a different aspect of stillness and learning how to live in the moment. Tolle's charming delivery is gently humorous but also pointed in his instruction. It's a delight to hear the audience laughing in the background as he softly encourages attendees to grab hold of the magic of the moment. No table of contents is provided with the set, and while the packaging is compact and lovely, the CDs tend to fall out easily. But for Tolle's followers who can't make it to Findhorn, this is the next best thing. Listeners eager to learn more about Tolle's teaching will glean much. Simultaneous release with the New World Library hardcover and DVD set. (Jan.)

From AudioFile
In previous audios, the author's serious and slow-moving lessons showed how being in the moment allows a connection with reality that is free from intellectual conventions, judgments, and restrictive characterizations. In this audio, Tolle says that conventional thoughts and worldly activities are "forms" that are useful in dealing with various elements of the real world but misleading when used to define ourselves. The highest value and most free expression of our unique selves can be found when we reject these forms as definitions of who we are. The author's profound spiritual wisdom and, in this recording, his endearing charm make his simple message arresting, enlightening, and potentially life-changing. One of Eckhart's best talks!
If you loved 'The Power of Now' you will be blown away with the clarity and depth of this talk. Eckhart is one of the most important spiritual teachers alive and this CD set is one of his best talks. Highly Recommended to all who are ready to hear the truth and experience deep stillness and presence. Thank you Eckhart for this gift ~ the planet is in dire need of this message!
Pure Gold
This product comes with 2 DVDs and a book with beautiful nature photos taken by Eckhart with powerful quotes from the retreat next to the photos. Normally DVDs are more expensive than CDs, however somehow they've managed to price this package as if it were CDs, so already it's a great value!
If you are reading this you probably already are, like myself, a huge Eckhart fan. You will not be disappointed with these DVDs. I own practically everthing Eckhart has put out, and once again he does an amazing job. In addition to his "normal" talk about stillness and being present because that's all there is, he is really very funny and entertaining on these DVDs. Also, the picture and sound quality is quite good.
Tip: I purchased my copy of Findhorn Retreat directly from Eckhart's website because they include a FREE DVD with a 1 hour interview of Eckhart. I've always been curious about Eckhart as a person and this interviewer asks him many of the "personal" questions about his background, about growing up as a child, about the difference in his life now that he makes a lot of money (funny enough, he says he rarely buys things, that it's enough to just "look at them" and so the money hasn't made much of a change in his life at all!). Obviously he doesn't talk about these things during his usual presentations, so I found them very interesting to hear how he handles "fame and success".
I can't tell you how great this DVD is (it's called "The Simple Truth" and is only available from Eckharts site, but again, amazingly, they throw it in Free when you purchase the Findhorn DVDs and book!)
Hope this feedback helps!

wonderful Eckhart recording
This is a very worthwhile recording to listen to. Over the first three discs Mr. Tolle talks about the usual stuff, like the structure of ego and various ego traps you can fall into, how life reduces you in form and accepting that, the now, space consciousness, etc. but as always, does so in a fresh and new way. The fourth disc is an audience q&a with questions about presence and humor, and whether a fool can become enlightened. He refers to Forrest Gump as an example of this. I have experienced all his books and a lot of his audio, so I have heard/read all aspects of his teaching many times over but still, there is a quality that he brings that I never get tired of hearing... ok, the recording. I have not listened to it enough times yet to give an in depth review (i wanted to hurry and put a positive one out fast, and then edit the review after I've had time to go over it) but I will say that it is great, and contains perhaps the most funny moments of any talk I have yet heard.
Just so you know, this is not published by Sounds True like all the rest and the format is a little different... a man introduces him and there is no tracklisting whatsoever.
And lastly, for four discs at about an hour each, this is the best deal you could possibly find (thanks amazon!)... skip "realizing the power of now" and get this.
