Basically, the optician's bible. I used the 2nd Ed. in my studies at college. I highly recommend it. I find the latest edition (3rd Ed.) to be a significant improvement.

Although out of print, this book is great. Gives a huge amount of info on the variety of ophthalmic lenses when compared to "up-to-date" books.

Very useful in its perspective. My favorite book out of the bunch mentioned because it is so different from the rest.

Every optician should know something about managing an office. Gives info on owning your own optical from scratch or buying into one. Very informative

Covers basic optics. Great source on topics like vergence.

Offers in depth information on various diseases and ocular conditions as well as treatments.

This book offers so much in terms of just images alone. It is well presented and really makes an attempt at demystifying the anatomy and physiology of the eye.

I keep a copy of this at work with me.

Informative on the different surgeries performed by ophthalmologists.

This book covers binoculars, telescopes, microscopes and other optical devices. It is interesting to know what actually goes into designing lenses. There is also a lot of information on aberrations. Special attention is given to commonly found aberrations associated with a given optical device and what is typically done to correct it.
