Must have~~
I have this cute monkey for my very active 2 year old. It's the only way I can take her to a crowded area and not lose her as she refuses to sit in a stroller. The parents who say they are " leashed like dogs" and that it's "mean, cruel, whatever ", are morons and are not in the situation of having a very active kid. My daughter doesn't even know it's on and she's allowed to roam free within eye shot of my husband and me. I would rather have these idiot parents give me dirty looks than to lose my daughter. Get over it.
Really cute!
I bought this for my 17 month old son so I would feel comfortable letting him walk when we are out in public places. Normally I'm worried he'll dash off but this way he is always close by.
The monkey is really cute, squishy & soft. When my son saw him in the box he wanted to hold it right away and started giving it hugs. I must admit he was a little bit less excited once it was strapped to his back. For the most part he didn't mind it, but when he got to the end of the rope he did get frustrated. Of course this is to be expected which is why I still gave this a high rating.
We get lots of complements from strangers saying how cute it is but we also get some stares that seem to say "I would never put my kid on a leash!". I used to think the same thing but this makes me feel so much better about letting him run around in the mall or in other crowded places.
Not at all Lazy
This is to K Sawyer...how can you say that we who choose to use these for our children are any more lazy than you who choose to use it for your dog? Same concept, don't you think?? You want to keep your dog safe and out of harms way, I want to keep my child safe and out of harms way. It's not a matter of being lazy. But explain to me how you make a 17 month old understand that they have to stay with mommy and daddy and not run away?? About as much as you can make a dog understand the same exact point I bet. If you happen to have any pointers on how you make your dog stay with you, maybe you can share them with the parents of the world and we wouldn't have to use this "cruel" device on our children, and we wouldn't have to be so "lazy" Hey here's a thought, maybe you shouldn't be so lazy and you should teach your dog how to not run away from you and you shouldn't have to put this cruel harness on your dog. How ridiculous your dog must look with a monkey on his back!
