Great little pump5
Great item. Pumps water easily as long as the sun is out. Perfect for small water fountains. You can get the solar battery pack and it will run at night as well for a few hours.

Nice little solar powered fountain4
I purchased this setup for a little aboveground pond my wife had made. Considering the price, this is a very nice little unit. We fussed a little getting the pump plumbed to the sprinkler head and added 20 ft of wire to the solar panel so that we could locate it for maximum sunlight. The little 6 volt pump runs very quietly and puts out a good stream of water with the 2 watt panel in full sun. The panel is surrounded by a rugged aluminum frame and it was not difficult to fabricate a little mount so that we could mount it on the post and aim it towards the sun. I found the wires on the solar panel to be a very thin gauge but adequate for the application. Just don't expect it to handle much stress without breaking. We are very pleased with this unit and with how easy it was to adapt to our application.

Could be better2
Overall this is not a bad product, if used in the right environment. The solar panel only produces power under direct and strong sunlight. The product would work well in the climate zones of Arizona, Texas, Florida -most of the time. If the aera is even slightly shaded or used anywhere sunlight can be obscured by clouds for any length of time, you will be frustraded by this product. Instead purchase one with the battery pack, it would be worth the extra 20 bucks to have it work when you want it to, and not simlpy when conditions are perfect.
