Product Description

In 1969 they entered the recording studio to cut their first album. The breakthrough came later that year with Paranoid, a pioneering heavy metal offering. The album was toured extensively throughout Europe, and it was during this tour that Black Sabbath appeared on the German TV show Beat Club (similar to the UK's Old Grey Whistle Test) and recorded four songs live, including, bizarrely, a cover version of 'Blue Suede Shoes'. The recordings were released on a Beat Club video in the US, but this is the first time the tracks have been released on CD-Rom format. Track listing: Paranoid, Black Sabbath, Iron Man, and Blue Suede Shoes (yes the song made popular by ELVIS!)

The infamous "Beat Club" Black Sabbath live concert - rare indeed!5
It's a bit of a rare thing to find older stuff on Sabbath, and this is a real gem.

Even before their first album came out, they were known throughout Europe as the hardest of the hard rock bands palying at the time, breaking new ground with a new hard sound in 1969-70 the way Nirvana exploded in the late 80's and early 90's.

If you can find the video footage of this, you'll see Ozzy at his most manic and the rest of the original crew making music that has become classics.

I can't really recommend "Blue Suede Shoes", though, it sounds... well, WEIRD. You'd have to hear it for yourself!

As far as the sound is concerned, it's a 10/10, as you can hear the fuzziness of the guitars, the unevenness of the drums, and the raw sound of Ozzy's voice, man that voice... it's so unique, you know it's him, anytime, anywhere!

This is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to any Sabbath fan!

Thanks!
