In between are hundreds of invaluable tips for making the business a success, such as: 1) the best way to market a horse business, 2) what insurance to carry, 3) buying and selling horses at public sales, 4) distinguishing between employees and independent contractors, 5) accessing pedigrees or performance records using on-line services, 6) record-keeping strategies that prove profit motive to the IRS, and much more!

complete guide for horse business success by Janet English
This guide provides most of the nesscesary tools and tips to start your own horse business. Providing information that allows one to confidently pursue this venture. This book gave me the confidence to proceed with my business knowing all the facts up front. It allowed me to handle purchases and tax formalities without feeling like I didn't know what I was doing. Great starter book! I have read "starting you own horse business" by Mary Ashby Mcdonald. While her book is informative and gives examples not covered in the previous book, it serves basically to complement other books on this issue.
