From the Manufacturer
Lisa Atwood and her best friends, Carole and Stevie, are known as The Saddle Club at Pine Hollow Stables. Lisa arrived at Pine Hollow with no riding experience and little confidence around horses. She had a hard time fitting in, but Stevie and Carole made her feel welcome and after learning to ride on Patch, she was given the chance to ride a more experienced horse, Prancer. A beautiful 4-year-old chestnut mare, Prancer has two white socks on her hind legs, a white star on her forehead and a small snip on her nose. She was brought to Pine Hollow as a school horse after a leg injury ended her racing career. With the proper training, Lisa believes that Prancer can become a champion show jumper.

life like, but not for rough play
I really like the breyer / girl horse sets that I purchased for my daughter (6) for christmas. HOwever, I have a two 1/2 year old who likes to take the bridles / harnesses off the horses face and they are very delicate and flimsy. I have tried to keep him away from them, but thats easier said than done. My daughter loves playing with them and they are very life like, just have to be gentle with the riding gear on them.
Junk!!!!
The horse in this set is a nice, standard Breyer horse. I have no complaints--even the tack is pretty cute. The Lisa doll, however, is a total piece of junk. She broke the first time my daughter played with her. Her legs are made out of flimsy plastic that are supposed to snap together on either side of an ariculating hip. The one we got split open immediately and will not stay together. I was going to go through the hassle of returning it, but my husband is planning to glue together the brand-new, overpriced toy. I am very disappointed with this product.
Little girls' favorite!
My daughters love the show and the whole Breyer line of toys &dolls. You have to use care with the horses-too rough of play and they cant snap the legs. We've had it happen but they repair well.
