This is a brutal remake of the classic. The acting is actually pretty good, and it is extremely gory. The plot/story is practically identical to the original. The scene where the main character goes into the mutants' village with his dog is awesome. Just be ready for a dark, depressing, and violent film.

This move is awesomely bad. The acting at times is abysmal, and it is not as gory as I was expecting. Eliza Dushku is the female lead, so there is plenty of eye candy (no nudity though). This is your typical survival horror movie, it doesn't bring anything new to the genre, but I can't help but enjoy it. It is a short movie, which makes it that more enjoyable.

This was a good start to the franchise. The Creeper is an awesome horror character. The acting is about what you would expect. The story surrounding the Creeper is actually pretty unique. Not overly gory, but it has its moments.

Easily one of the most disturbing movies I have ever seen. I actually like the theatrical cut more so than the unrated cut, just because its not as over the top. Its a good introduction to Leatherface, and Jordanna Brewster is definitely easy on the eyes.

This is a great reinvention of the zombie myth. Good acting and story. This movie shows what can be accomplished with a fairly low budged and a talented cast and crew.

I love this movie. I have never seen the original so I can't comment on which is better. This movie is not overly scary, but it has some great action and suspense. Sean Bean is great as the title character and after seeing this film I am a big Sophia Bush fan. With the exception of a couple of scenes, the movie is not that gory.

The first 2/3 of this movie are great, then it loses some of its kick. The acting is good, as are the special effects. It is pretty gory, and some of the creature designs are awesome. An overall great story that loses some of its momentum in the films final act.

The first one is good, the second one is tolerable. Jennifer Love Hewitt has been hot for two decades. Solid acting for a teen slasher flick, not a lot of gore though.

A great take on the American legend. The acting as great, and the atmosphere of the film is eerie and really sets the mood. Christopher Walken was the perfect choice to play the pre-decapitated horseman. It has some great action as well as suspense.

A great throw back to 80's style slasher films. This movie is hysterical, and the gore is so outlandish that you can't help but laugh. If you are a fan of the Jason, Michael, and Freddy movies, you will likely enjoy this.

This movie is awesome. Way better than Death Proof in my opinion. Its funny, faced paced, and action packed. A few scares and gross out moments, but for the most part the gore is so over the top it is hysterical. The cast is great and the story is a great throw back to classic zombie films. As of now, this is my favorite movie on this list.

An entertaining ghost story that is not as bad as most Hollywood remakes of Japanese films. Probably not something you'll watch over and over, but it is at least worth a rent.

Very similar to The Skeleton Key in tone and pacing.
