Editorial Reviews

About the Artist
Each member of Rush Of Fools has known since an early age they wanted to serve God with their lives and their music. In an amazingly short period of time, the Birmingham, AL based band has gone from winning the Band With A Mission contest in 2006 to landing a record deal with Midas Records, securing a management deal with industry veteran Andrew Patton's Patton House Entertainment and a booking agreement with the Greg Oliver Agency.

Taking their name from 1 Corinthians 1:26-31, Rush Of Fools' message of God's mercy and grace is encapsulated in their debut single "Undo," which has seen an extraordinary climb up the Christian radio charts. "Honestly, it's amazing to us because there is nothing special about us," Kevin Huguley says. "There is nothing great that we've done on our own. We're not accomplished or well known. We're just guys from Alabama who love music and love God. We want to exalt God's glory in everything we do."

Rush Of Fools is:
Kevin Huguley - Lead vocals, electric guitar
Wes Willis - Lead vocals, electric & acoustic guitar
Jacob Chesnut - Bass, vocals
Jamie Sharpe - Drums, vocals
JD Frazier - Electric & acoustic guitar, keys & vocals

Customer Reviews

Whoa! Where'd THESE guys come from?5
When you go back after an initial listen and replay four or five songs, you have a good album. When you replay the entire CD three times and be amazed by its entire contents, you have an exceptional album. There have been many Christian rock groups with great openers. However, I can not recall any with a more impressive debut than this one. I literally can see ANY song on this album getting air-play, and I don't say that lightly.

The music is rock but not too heavy. It's VERY melody based, and the vocals are harmonized with ethereal perfection. Guitars are mixed with classical instruments (Peace Be Still). The lyrics are inspiring, moving, and very original. I would jump at the chance to see these guys live, and I am already waiting for their next album! Truly, an annointing which deserves celebration.

Great New Album5
This is a great new album. Their single "Undo" has already made it to number one on the Christian Music charts. Personally I like "When Our Hearts Sing" the best. The music and lyrics are both so well matched and performed from the heart. It's nice to have lyrics that are not all the same old cliches and shallow repetitiveness so prominent in today's "worship" music. I think these guys are going to do well if they keep producing music like this.

An Exceptional First CD5
Rush of Fools deserves to be praised for this album, its a very well balanced compilation and for a first album is exceptional by any standard. Vocals are clean, precise, and lofty, but more importantly, they are heartfelt. Instrumentation is equally clean and measured, never overdone or muddy. What's probably most striking about this CD, for me and my family, is how familiar this band sounds, yet it has a freshness and uniqueness of its own. I am a huge fan of Building 429, Anberlin, Relient K and Jeremy Camp and I'd be willing to recommend this band in the same breath with those. Mellower in tone overall compared to most of those, but - as one reveiewer put it - perfect for putting you in a worship state of mind. This band is going to succeed big-time if they remain on this track and continue to pour their hearts into their work as they've done with this album.
