About Us
I’m a writer. I live and breathe to write. It’s my joy, my passion, my bliss. I love words. I love books. I love the way they look, how they feel, and the way they smell.
The first time I was in a library, I knew I was in a special, sacred place the moment I entered. There was an aura and ambiance about it that whispered through the rows and aisles of books. As I stood quietly in the foyer of the library looking around, I was in reverence and awe. The hushed stillness was mystical, ethereal. Although I was too young to read, I sensed and somehow knew that books were magical and I was drawn to them. It was a completely enchanting experience.
As I grew up, I was an avid reader, reading twenty or more books a week. I’m still an avid reader, though now I average two or three books a week. My favorite thing to do on a Saturday afternoon is to go bookstore browsing. I’ve never been able to walk into a bookstore and come out empty-handed. I tend to buy an armload full of books.
In addition to the 26 books I’ve written and had published, I’ve worked in various aspects of the publishing industry. I opened my own literary agency and was an agent for six years, specializing in foreign rights sales, then went into publishing, operating a small press for twelve years. Currently, I write one or two books per year and teach writing workshops, as well as facilitating a writer’s group.
I’ve written several books on writing and publishing because I’d like to help you get your book published, to offer you ideas and suggestions, give you insider’s tips, and guide you through the process from beginning to end. Read lots of books on writing and preparing book proposals to give you a well-rounded feel for submitting your work and getting your book published. I’d like to see your book in the bookstore.
