This product does what it is advertised to do. I would like the child's wrist unit alarm to be louder. I had trouble hearing it over normal playground noises. All in all, this unit performs well and is easy to operate.

Disappointing Performance2
We purchased this product to use on an upcoming Disney trip. After waiting several weeks for delivery, we found that the product's performance was very disappointing. There are essentially two basic features of the product. First, it will keep track of the distance between the base unit and the wrist band, and alert you when the distance exceeds your setting. This feature works OK, within the maximum distance capability of the product which is not all that far. The second basic feature is the `Find' feature. You can place the unit in `Find' mode and it is supposed to be able to indicate which direction you should walk to find the wrist band. This feature just plain does not work. There is no other way to describe it. We found that the base unit will point in just about any direction seeming to have no idea where the wrist band is located. I would not want to rely on this product to locate a small child in the crowds at Disney World, or anywhere else. We called Blue Span to see if we were operating the product correctly, and this was confirmed. They showed us how to `calibrate' the compass, which we did, but this made no difference to the product's performance. We spent a lot of money on this product and it's add-ons, over $350.00, and feel we have received very little value.

Product unsuitable for older handicapped children1
The wrist tags which are an essential component are only designed to fit a young child (perhaps up to 10-12?) and will not fit on the wrist of an older handicapped child. The product description makes no mention of this limitation.
