Customer Reviews
Not Extremely Durable
I just bought a Wubba for my 9-month old Dobie mix last night, and she loves it...she played with it for two hours straight. However, she already ate through the outer fabric on top (I can see the green ball inside) and starting eating the fringes. So, I'm going to have to throw it away tonight. It's too bad that the material isn't more durable. I would highly recommend this toy ONLY for dogs that don't typically destroy their toys and like to chew and eat non-food items.
For Supervised Play Only
I bought one of these for my St. Bernard, and failed to heed the "Supervised Play Only" warning on the label, 2 hrs later the toy was in tatters. These toys obviously aren't meant to be durable enough for long term chewing, but even the shreds of this toy are by far my dog's favorite toys.
Buy this toy and play _with_ your dog, but take it away when play time is over
Dog *Loves* It - but it is NOT a chew toy
My female pit mix loves this toy. She carries it around, shakes it, chews it, and just adores it. However, when I got it I knew right away that I could not leave her alone with it. If she ever sits down to go to town on it, it probably won't last more than a couple of minutes. Due to this, I only let her play with it for 5-10 minutes at a time and only supervised. If I see her settling down for a good chew, I take it away (or throw it to get her moving again). That said - this is a great, stimulating toy. She loves to drag it by the 'legs', shake it around, make it squeak - everything! The different chew 'zones' - the tennis ball top versus the squeaky middle - keep her entertained. The cloth is quite durable and unless she *really* wants to get through it, I think it will hold up well.
This is a great toy - but be aware of your dog's tendencies and take them into account. If my girl ever does destroy it, I'll definitely get another.
