Customer Reviews
Almost what I have expected
I thought at the calendar will be a day to day type. But it wasn't. The comments are almost without notes about some important/famous/historical persons in French history. Calendar is introducing mostly the north and south part of France (only one month is Paris)...And there is so so little of French words..Next year, I will not order this one, even for the good pictures. No way.
Beautiful calendar
This calender keeps France alive for me, everyday I use it.
Gorgeous pictures and nice shape and size to hang on the wall.
I buy one every year.
My favorite wall calendar
For many years now, this calendar has served me well. One month spans two oversized pages and focuses on a particular region in France (pinpointed on a small outline map), and never the same from one year to the next. Wells's text is brief but charming. The cover accurately illustrates the typical assortment of Rothfeld's photographs -- in size, number, and breadth of topic -- that adorn each and every month. Still, generous room is allotted each day for noting appointments, recitals, and what have you. Holidays span US, UK, Canada, and Australia, along with major Christian and Hebrew holy days. Thumbnails of the preceding and following months are included. One star off for the lack of moon phases.
Regions covered for 2007:

May, Paris
June, Indre-et-Loire
July, Burgundy
August, Pays Basque
September, Le Bassin
