This was (and still is) the most comfortable and versatile carrier we've tried. No back pain whatsoever and very easy to get on and off when using as a front-carrier. Adjusts like a backpack to get a personalized fit. Difficult to use as a back-carrier without a 2nd person helping at first. Gets easier with practice.

Buy new: $24.63 I tried at least 6 different nursing pads and these were the most comfortable for sore nipples and also the least visible under clothing. I wanted to use the reusable washable kind but I was a heavy leaker and only the disposables could contain the amount of milk I leaked.

Buy new: $20.00 We liked that these organic sleepers had zippers- the faster you can dress your newborn the better. The only thing missing is little cuffs to cover baby's hands and prevent face-scratching. Haven't found anything yet that's organic, footed, zippered, and has hand cuffs. This comes as close as we could find

Buy new: Too low to display We never had a pair of these, but our neighbors do and used them all the time for their winter baby. This makes diaper changes so much easier because baby's legs stay warm and you don't have to pull off a pair of pants.

Buy new: $8.95 / Used from: $3.98 This was baby's first favorite toy/lovie. It's a touch-and-feel book and the crinkly first page made him ecstatic! The only drawback is that it's not machine-washable. Surface wash only (you could wash it in the machine, but then the 'crinkle' will melt and not be as loud and appealing).
