Product Description

This book is written with the intent to educate and entertain. It neither advocates nor denounces sports gambling. Most books on this subject tend to be selfglossing, commercial or overly complicated. I wanted a book that is for everyone, from the novice who wants to learn, to the pro who wants to refresh, and the addicted who wants to quit. The sports gambling world is growing and constantly evolving. People should be as aware and informed as they can be. The chapters of Terms and Definitions and Things You Must Know are especially important.

About the Author
Author Oliver Jones grew up playing baseball and football and followed almost every sport. Throughout the 80's, 90's and beyond, he watched the explosion of satellite TV, cable sports, and most of all, the gambling industry. Presently there is a lot written about poker, blackjack, and other casino games. Most books on sports gambling tend to be self glossing, commercial or overly complicated. He was inspired to write $port Gambling 101 because there is little good information written about sports gambling. He hopes to educate and entertain, and help people to do what they love. He wanted a book that is for everyone, from the novice who wants to learn, to the pro who wants to refresh, and the addicted who needs help.

An Idiot's Guide to Sports Betting3
This is strictly a book for the uninitiated. It explains the very basics in very simple terms. As such, it has some value for those who would like to learn more about sports betting but do not really know where to start. It is true that many of the books out there are designed for those who have at least some experience betting on sports and are looking for ways to improve their success. As the title suggests, this book is for the less experienced crowd and in this sense it fills a gap in the market. The danger is that after reading this book, one will know what to do but not how to do it well. It's like giving the reader a key to the tiger cage. Sure, it'll open the door, but what then? The truth is that very few people are good enough to make any money betting on sports and the few that are good enough often fall short due to poor money management. So, if you're interested in sports betting and think you might want to dabble in it as a hobby, a few bucks a game, by all means pick up this book. Just be careful not to assume that because you read this book you are anywhere near being able to make money at sports betting.
