Love it! Love it! Love it!
Pixter-Multi-Media..Love it! Love it! Love it! I gave this to my 5 yerar old grandchild and he would play with it 24 hours a day if we let him. Lots to do on the Pixter itself but we also picked up a couple cartridges to play with it and those are fun too. It is so nice to have an electronic toy that is not just about learning but is about creativity with some learning mixed in as well. I looked at Leapster and although it was less expensive I liked the content and screen quality more on Pixter so I bought that and am really glad I did. Thank you. Kay M.

greatest pixter in the universe!
This thing is the greatest pixter ever made! All pixter cartridges are compatible with it, and the siding is made of polymer! Its great!

Good product, great price, a little klunky
Overall i have only very good things to say. The device is very durable, much more so that many other kids devices that get dropped, thrown around, etc.

the battery life is pretty good and even without any expansion cartridges there's a lot you can do. With the cartridges you get even more. unfortunately, it's hard to find them unless you look online, or at least it has been for me.

the only kind of negative thing i have to say is that it's rather bulkly for younger kids who it's supposed to be for. my son has a hard time holding it with his small hands and drawing on the screen at the same time. usually this is okay. he puts it on the table or on the bed and he's good to go, but sitting in a car it's harder for him to manipulate. It's still doable, just a bit tricky.

one plus/minus depending on how you look at it is that the batteries are really in there good. it's got a pretty big screw holding the battery cover in and they're in there pretty tightly. This makes changing the batteries kind of a chore that requires a pretty decent screwdriver and can't really be done on the fly but it also means that the cover doesn't pop off and batteries go flying if you happen to drop the device.

overall a very nice product that i would reccomend.
