Sturdy, Good Tone
We purchased this for our 12 month old grandson - an instant hit!!! He loved it. It is sturdy and well-constructed with a nice tone. His mother, the music teacher, was very happy with it.

A great toy from THAILAND
This toy is fairly sturdy and has a nice sound to it. It seems the other two reviewers didn't do their homework when it comes to where the toy is manufactured. PLAN TOYS is a Thai company and their toys are manufactured in THAILAND, not the US or Taiwan (which is Chinese). Plan Toys is, however, a "green" company, and makes quality toys. The US market is inundated with with Chinese toys, and nowadays even quality toy makers like German HABA are producing some of their products in China. It is our duty, I feel, as parents, to inform ourselves where our childrens' toys are coming from. Thailand is an up and coming competitor on the toy market, and apparantly is striving for quality standards that China could only dream of.

Not sure...
I love the concept of this company, being "green" and all; that is great. However, I bought this for my son for his first birthday. I wanted something classic that he could keep and give to his children one day. This toy comes apart too easy. It is very annoying to sit there and try to put the pieces back on. They are easy to get on and difficult to get back on. My toddler constantly pulls them off as soon as I put them back on. If they could come up with an idea that would somehow not allow the bars to be removed, it would be much better. If you want a musical toy that will last, I would go with the baby grand piano. Durable and fun!
