Those people are wrong. Ultimate is a sport played by 824,000 people a year in North America--more than korfball, lawn darts, lacrosse, and curling combined. Ultimate is so popular that it even has rules that are sometimes followed. This book will provide you with complete and total knowledge of the Ultimate game.

Customer Reviews
Excellent eclectic look at the world's premier emerging sport
The book is a great look inside the culture and community that makes ultimate so unique and enjoyable to thousands of americans. The satire mixed with legitimately useful and informative information creates an excellent blend of material which really gives the reader a good feel of what the scene is like. An absolute must-own for any and all ultimate players, a great gift for those who are close ultimate players, as well as a great general interest read.
The Greatest Book Ever on the Sport of Ultimate
I bought this book expecting some explanation of the game and maybe some humor, but what I found is one of the funniest non-fiction books I've ever read. Anyone who's ever at least dipped their toe into strange athletic cult that is organized ultimate should have this on their coffee table. The parts about the "8 types of ultimate player" are hilariously right on the money.
Very Funny
This book is extremely funny. If you're an Ultimate player looking for light reading and entertainment, this book is a lot of fun. While there are a few serious teaching points about Ultimate, they are few and far between. So, if you're looking for strategies, techniques, or drills, this probably is not the right book. But if you are a veteran player who wants a good laugh, I would recommend it. I've had a lot of fun reading through it.
