Ms. Logan speaks here of her poet's muse - the ultimate inspiration who gives us writers the emotions that fill our heart-wells with words of beauty , heartache, jealous desperation or even joyous celebration. I believe that any poet, any writer for that matter, would agree... Where would we be without our muse???

The generous spirit of a poet in touch with the giving of herself to those around her becomes vividly evident in these words:

A wish that we all have in hope that those we care for are touched with the blessings that inspire us to write... to inspire others to be more than just what they dream of.

The revelation that Ms. Logan is a musician and a wedding consultant becomes evident within moments of dipping yourself into her poetry. So filled with the loving, sweeping melodies of love surreal and love never to be dismissed; her reader is immersed in the sugary coating of champagne words. To some, her poetry might be too Fantasia meets Danielle Steele with it's broadscape visuals of flowery, heavily verbose fairy-tale love and loss that is accented by the flowing script font that is used. However, in today's age of escapism and fantasy retreats from reality, a dose of "Wings of an Angel" poetry might just be what the love doctors order; along with a tropical frothy foo-foo drink, a steamy bath with bubblegum bubbles up to your chin and pink ruffled pajamas laid out in wait for dream's arrival on the brush of angel's wings...

The illustrations drawn by Marcia Davis lend an air of bold-stroked beauty, enhancing the emotions portrayed in Ms. Logan's poetry; a welcome change as many poetry collections could do with some enhancement.

Although this collection of poetry may not be to universal taste, I feel there is a chosen select that will enjoy Ms. Logan's angel-inspired words immensely. I believe an epigram written by a brilliant Irish poet is relevant here. It goes something like this:

"Good poetry is like the finest vintage wine. It is such a subjective thing and moreso a matter of personal taste. What does it matter as long we savour its honesty and beauty without prejudice to the size or shape of the decanter". Johnny Moran, 27 Sept 2004

In Tangle of Rainbows, Angel describes a moonlit beach, sunlight and rainbows all in one poem. The words flow in colors and experience, creating a celebration of words themselves. In Hello, Goodbye images of clouds and rain describe the feelings in metaphors and moments. A Window & A Door is a conversation between a girl and her angel.

Many of the poems reveal images of oceans, angels and flowers. Angel Logan's words capture an inner garden of truth where your soul can grow and her wisdom is evident throughout. I especially love the words in On the Edge:
