Boycotting World Poker Tour
I stopped watching the World Poker Tour entirely. I only watched them in the first place because they put them on DVD, and since they screwed up season 3 by eliminating episodes, and then failed to release any subsequent seasons, I just don't watch anymore. It's a shame, because I'd like to continue watching every episode they've made so far. So now I watch poker videos or WSOP dvds to get my poker fix. I've practically forgotten about WPT.
Saying the same thing about this screw-up as with the UFC, if you don't release everything, from the beginning, I refuse to watch. (UFC is still missing #1 and #2, both of which Hoyce Gracie won) So if WPT wants me as a paying watcher again, they will release ALL of season 3, and then begin releasing subsequent seasons.
No wonder the stock is in the dumps, they have no idea what we want.
WPT The Best Of Season 3
This was by far the Best DVD Set I have purchased to date. The 8 episodes are filled with great poker hands and plenty of suck outs and bad beats. I read a lot of people complaining because it is only 8 episodes and not 16 and I respond to them with the title of the set is THE BEST OF SEASON 3. It did not list or say you were getting all of season 3.
I am always trying to learn more about poker and this set helped me take my game to another level. I am also the proud owner of season two and I enjoyed the best of season 3 as much as season 2 for sure. Season three has Phil Ivey playing at a final table and giving an interview. For me this was priceless. If you're looking for a few hours of great poker then The Best Of Season 3 is a must.
I wanted to add that everyone seems to keep saying this is a bad DVD because they only put 8 of the 16 episodes in this set. I would like to say this is the BEST poker DVD set I have purchased to date. Its all about quality not quantity. I will take this 8 episode set over any other DVD set I have seen. People want to see action and drama. The best of season three shows the worlds greatest poker players playing poker the way it should be played. Hands down the Best Of Season Three is the best season to date. I cant wait to get seasone four.
Still worth buying!
Okay, I agree that it sucks they didn't produce the whole season. I just don't understand that. It is, however, worth buying the disc. After all, if you a serious collector of poker DVDs, you can't not have this in your collection.
I think the World Poker Finals from this season is one of the most dramatic and exciting WPT events. Tuan Le vs. Temp Hutter was a compelling matchup. Too bad Temp got unlucky in a few key moments. Nonetheless, you can't beat the drama.
Also, at least a few of the episodes have one or two deleted hands that were not shown on tv. I do like that feature, as it reminds you that you don't see every hand and you get something you did not see on tv.
Season three was okay, here's hoping they do a better job on season four.
