![]() | Polk Audio Monitor 60 2-Way Floorstanding Speaker (Single, Black)
Buy new: $179.90 If you can, step up to the 70... if these are too much for you, step down to the 50. I've got mine bi-wired to the A and B channels on my receiver, and the sound is nicely divided among the drivers and those smooth-as-angel-skin silk-dome tweeters. Make sure you put two in the cart!

![]() | Polk Audio CSi3 Center Channel Speaker (Single, Black)
Buy new: $121.75 You've heard it, and it's true... the center-channel is extremely important. For that reason, I've chosen the CSi3, which is actually a step up from the center that matches the rest of the speakers.

![]() | Polk Audio PSW10 10-Inch Monitor Series Powered Subwoofer (Single, Black)
Buy new: $106.96 / Used from: $119.99 Wire it passively in-line to the monitor 60s, from the B-channel running to each of those speakers. It'll cover the frequency-ground that the 60s simply can't dip into.

![]() | Polk Audio Monitor Series PSW12 12-Inch Powered Subwoofer (Single, Black)
This is the active sub for the system. Read the reviews, they're everywhere. Buy it, be amazed.

![]() | Polk Audio Monitor 30 2-Way Bookshelf Speakers (Pair, Black)
Buy new: $92.87 The rears are where you can skimp a bit. I'm actually running a pair of older JBL500s, but these would work well too. If you really want to go all-out, check out some of the remaining polk R50s that are floating about. For about the same price as these 30s, you could have another set of towers as your rears. I may be doing just this some time soon ;)

![]() | Yamaha RX-V559 - AV receiver - 6.1 channel
Buy used from: $199.00 This is my receiver, but anything from the Yamaha RX-line will do. If you can shell out the extra clams, then do it, because even though this drives the Monitors like a pro, it barely approaches half of their power-handling capabilities.
