From the Back Cover
What’s a girl to do?
A grunt. A sigh. A shrug. A vacant stare. Ahhhh, the vague and mysterious language of men. And while we’re on the topic, have you ever wondered . . .
Why won’t he stop and ask for directions?
Is sex all he thinks about?
Why is he always trying to fix my problems?
Why does he spend so much time in the bathroom?
Is he really as clueless as he acts?
Believe it or not—no. He’s not totally clueless. He’s simply being a man: a big, stupid, brilliant, emotionally constipated, wonderfully complex, slightly arrogant, sex-crazed, courageous, strong, somewhat out-of-touch, mind-boggling man. How do we know? We’re men.
And we can assure you we are not at all as clueless as we sometimes act. We can also tell you there’s a lot more behind those shrugs, sighs, and grunts than you might think. Believe it or not, we’re far more complicated than you give us credit for.
You just have to know how to read us. That’s what this book is about. Yup, the male psyche is a complicated place to navigate. Good thing you’re not afraid to stop and ask for directions.

Customer Reviews
WOW, WHAT A GREAT BOOK!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. I thought it was a very candid, straightforward analysis of how we guys really do think. I liked the real life examples and the candor with which these guys shared their own mistakes in communicating with the women in their lives. I really thought the chapter, "Wanna Do It?" was an excellent chapter on sex and how men and women think about it differently. Their approach on this topic, based on faith based principles, was very refreshing. I would recommend this book to men and women from teenagers to seniors.
A Fresh Approach to an Eternal Dilemma...
I like a book where the authors aren't afraid to take a jab at themselves. This book reads like a conversation with friends - who happen to have years of training in the world of relationships. Thomas and James avoid the didactic and instead offer an engaging, refreshing and downright funny look at the challenges of love.
And I learned a thing or two while laughing out loud...who knew why educated, middle-aged men get so wrapped up in the pre-school tug of war contest, stand in a room screaming fearlessly at a television set, or refuse to ask for directions?
We did it as a bible study
We did these books as a couples bible study. Each week we would read the women and men's chapter and then discus them. The men started talking and it really sparked some great conversations! It was a great book... funny, informational, easy to read, and clever..... we all loved it.
