While an out-of-reach experience for most of us, owning a chateau in France, the author's detailed description of the pursuit in making this house a home are worth the time and money spent on the book. Delightful!

If you could only buy one cookbook on country French cooking, this should be the one. I use her recipes for all of my philanthropic French dinners, which serve as engine drivers for community charitable outreach. I've tried many of her recipes and have yet to find one that is not up to expectations. A terrific resource for all country French meals.
