Product Description
The future is now, at least when it comes to small appliances. Behold the Bosch coffeemaker, designed by F.A. Porsche. Not only is it gorgeous, it's extremely well engineered in terms of function and ease of use. The coffee is brewed directly into the thermal carafe where it will stay warm for hours. If you are the impatient type, you may interrupt brewing to grab a quick cup. The water reservoir tank is removable and the filter basket opens fully.

Amazon.com Review
The grandson of the legendary German automobile designer, F.A. Porsche has achieved an international design reputation of his own, beginning first with the Porsche 911 and then moving on to myriad other products, such as this classy drip coffeemaker. Synthesizing form and function and utilizing advanced materials are Porsche's hallmarks, and they are immediately evident in the coffeemaker's timeless beauty. Comprising twin cylindrical columns joined in the middle, the coffeemaker is clad in brushed aluminum, with rugged, dark-purple plastic trim. It's heavy and substantial, perfect for an executive office or contemporary kitchen. It measures 14-1/2 inches high, 12 inches wide, and 5 inches deep (not including handles).
Powered by 1,000 watts, the coffeemaker brews eight 5-ounce cups directly into a heavy glass-insulated carafe whose top pops up when it's disengaged from the brewing spout, preventing heat from escaping and air from entering to spoil the coffee's flavor and aroma. A swing- out filter basket (for a permanent gold-tone filter) above the carafe completes the right-hand cylinder. The left-hand cylinder consists of a removable water tank that mirrors the carafe's shape and has an external gauge. Below that is a stainless-steel heating element and two bar-shaped pushbutton controls. One is the on/off switch and the other permits brewing either two to four cups or five to eight, a refinement that ensures proper brewing times. Push-in cord storage reduces clutter. --Fred Brack

I LOVE THIS MACHINE
I am a ooffee drinker. I have had this machine for nearly five years. There is NO bitter taste with coffee--there is no heater to allow evaporation. The carafe is self-contained--make your coffee and take the 'pot' with you. This is the best drip coffee maker. Fast, easy and great coffee taste.
While I was cruising around Norwegian and Swedish countries we stopped in one department store on one day trip--and there were thirty or forty Bosch coffeemakers on the shelves. The salesperson said they were very popular. Their price was substantially lower than I had paid in the states.
As with any machine every six months or so run white wine vinegar through it so it continues to run beautifully forever :)
Who said a coffee maker couldn't be sexy?
No self-respecting stainless-steel kitchen should be without it. Canister easily comes off to fill with water at the tap. We've been through at least 15 coffee makers over the years, and this one has been with us for 3 years now (a record no doubt).
Only complaint is that I wish the carafe somehow snapped in, or had an optional latch as to ensure one doesnt snag the handle when passing by or wiping down the counter top around the unit and knock it off its shallow base (and perhaps onto the floor as is in my case, a possible risk when planting your unit on a busy kitchen island).
Great Coffee and great looks.
I purchased this Bosch Coffeemaker just before Christmas. It works as good as it looks. Great tasting coffee and easy cleanup.
