Portmeirion made in China
A very nice set - ! - besides the fact that it's not made in UK - I really like all of the peaces and the quality is on par with British (can't tell the difference)! At 75% off MSRP it's well worth the price - highly recommend!
Bar code stickers are much easier to take off - ! - so, props to Chinese for being end user friendly :)

Do not buy this set unless you want a made-in-china stuff.
I got the product this afternoon, and I got a shock. It is made in China!How could Amazon dare to cheat me! I want to send them back, but I don't want to pay on shipping. If you want to have a pretty and cheap dishes, then you can find a lot around you without spending this amount of money.
Amazon should clarify the origin of country in product detail.
So disappointed!

Portmeirion Botanic Garden Square Starter Set
I just received this item and couldn't be more pleased. They are lovely and I don't care where they were made! The quality is great and I don't think Portmeirion is going to allow it's name on inferior product. I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews, but I'll be ordering another set with this great price.
