Customer Reviews

great intro book 4
The User's Manual For The Brain was one of the first books I bought. Although it was quite costly at the time, it is well worth the expense. It is organized for the NLP Practitioner level training program, but can certainly be used for self learning. The chapter on Hypnosis is very impressive, introducing some advanced concepts without overwhelming the novice reader.

True to It's name! The Closest thing to a User's Manual for a Human Brain you Can Get!5
Michael Hall and Bob Bodenhammer have done more good for NLP than anyone else since it's invention. Their Meta-States Model has revolutionized NLP and fixed many of the problems that were associated with such misnomers as "Sub"-modalities. Just like in Anatomy, because of old flawed data, they misname parts of the human anatomy, like the 'Germinal Epithelium' of the ovaries because they used to think that it gave birth to the ova, but now we know it does NOT, "sub"-modalities is NOT below in logical levels but META!

Once NLP'rs get beyond the "Pop Psychology" phase of NLP, then they're be ready to rename "sub"modalities to "Meta"Modalities, like it should be.

Not many other writters besides Michael, Bob, and Robert Dilts, seems to really make NLP something that the Academic, Standard Psychology community can take seriously. WHen I was going for my undergraduate in Psychology, I didn't see the word NLP under any of my Cognitive Field studies. Michael, Bob, and others like Dilts, are really helping it go in this direction.

How many other NLP books talk much in depth about Korzybski, General-Semantics, or any of the other source material that NLP came from.

In- depth coverage5
This book is fantastic for anyone who has learned a little about NLP and wants to take their knowledge to a deeper level. This book provides in-depth coverage of NLP topics and practical excercises to improve your skills. I would recomend this book for anyone who wants to get better with NLP skills.
