A Help in Grandparenting5
What a delightful book! I am a grandmother. I find the ideas in this book helpful all year, but particularly this year in planning for our family reunion. I can picture the fun my grandchildren are going to have doing the chimes and the fun plays. What a great resource!

Summer Goals Rock!5
I am so happy that I found this book. As Mrs. Alldredge states, added up our children are on summer break for about 3 years of their life! That is a lot of time that in the past I have wasted with too much TV, video games and inactivity. This summer to combat the boredom, I adopted her ideas for summer goals and have been amazed at how much fun we are having! My children, ages 7 and 9 are responding very well to a more disciplined approach to summer. They are so excited to complete their goals and it has been so much fun to teach them how to cook, how to grow mold (science project), how to clean the way I want them to do it. They even got so good at cleaning bathrooms and washing windows that they made business cards and have started going to friends and neighbors to clean and earn modest amounts of extra money. Watch my little entrepreneurs go!

For practical ideas and inspiration, read this book!5
This is a great book. It's an easy read and full of practical ideas. I am actually looking forward to summer vacation after reading it. Using the goals system described in the book, I have a plan! That's half the battle, right? I'm especially excited about helping my kids put on a play. The simple scripts, included in the book, are just one of many resources I'm going to enjoy using.
The family stories shared in this book have inspired some of my own ideas, too. I had forgotten how fun camping can be. The description of this woman's young family camping in a tent alongside coworkers, bosses, etc. is too funny. The fact that a company would plan that kind of gathering in the first place is hysterical! Oh, the "good ol' days!" It will be fun to try and capture some of that nostalgia in my own family.
