Named Best Word Game of 1997 by Games magazine, Fundex's A to Z game certainly runs the gamut of high-pressure alphabet fun. Each team is supplied with a plastic tray containing indentations for each letter of the alphabet, as well as a supply of transparent chips. Dice are rolled to select a timer setting (15 or 30 seconds) and a category from among 336 possibilities, such as Superheroes or Card Games. Set the timer and start covering letters on your board as you announce responses appropriate to the category--cover the A and B with chips by saying "Aquaman" and "Batman," for example. Fill your tray and win the game, but watch out: some rounds allow opposing teams to remove chips from your board. The A to Z game is a blast, but you may want to set up some house rules; for example, in the category Hard Liquor, would you allow bourbon, scotch, rye, and whiskey when the first three are all types of the fourth? --Tony Mason

A must addition to your stash of gameZ
We love this one! It works with a wide age range, even during the same game. At a women's retreat, the game started with 4 people, grew to 10 (playing teams), then the laughter and excitement drew a crowd three deep around the table! The variety of questions included encouraged all to participate, and the roll of the die that has you 'Take Away' from another team's board brought out the competitive spirit in the most mild-mannered person! I'm back to buy another copy AND the Jr version!
great family game!
I purchased this game 5 years ago and have been searching for more because all my family and friends wanted their own copies! We were familiar with Fundex toys (Phase 10) and wanted a family game that ages 6-86 could play together and THIS IS THAT GAME! The rules are easy, the game is never the same, everyone has fun.
Great game
Three of us sat down and decided to try this game and we ended up playing for 4 hours. It is very easy to learn and yet challenging to play. Oh, it's also a lot of fun!
