Amazon.com Product Description
Enjoy an invigorating cardio workout in the comfort of your den or basement with the ProForm 775 Crosstrainer treadmill. The 775's 2.25-horsepower commercial-grade motor is powerful enough for both light and intense workouts, and is engineered to produce a maximum performance over time. The backlit ClearView console, meanwhile, offers an extra-wide viewing angle, helping you easily keep track of your workout progress regardless of your height. Perhaps most importantly, the 775 is designed for maximum comfort, with an innovative ProShox cushion system beneath the treadmill deck to help you absorb stride impact.

The real focal point of the treadmill, however, is the pair of hand weights and the nine interactive cross-training workouts. Together, the weights and trainer fuse muscle-sculpting exercises with a traditional cardio routine to help you build your upper and lower body. The nine workouts are divided into three camps: three workouts for the upper body, three for the lower body, and three for the entire body. To motivate you during the workout, the 775 employs an interactive Audio CrossTrainer that controls the speed and incline of your treadmill while intermittently prompting you to lift the weights. Other details include an EKG grip heart rate monitor with sensors built into the handlebars; a 5 x 7 workout matrix that displays your workout progress graphically; a built-in fan to keep you cool; and a 300-pound weight capacity. The ProForm 775 also folds up vertically for easy storage.

About Treadmills
Walking is still considered one of the most beneficial cardiovascular exercises for people of all ages, body types, and fitness levels. As a fundamental form of aerobic training, walking has numerous physical benefits for the heart, lungs, and circulatory system, while also increasing muscle tone and burning fat calories. Treadmills provide a convenient way to regularly exercise in all weather conditions in the comfort and safety of your own home.

From beginners just starting an exercise regimen to advanced athletes looking to maintain their fitness level, anyone interested in getting and staying in shape can benefit greatly from regular use of a treadmill. Treadmills allow you to determine the pace, distance, and complexity of the workout based on your needs, all while watching television, talking on the telephone, or reading a magazine. Much easier on sensitive joints like the knees and hips, treadmill walking and running surfaces are typically long, padded platforms that allow ample room for a long stride and comfortable, low-impact walk or jog without the harsh contact of a concrete surface.

While many different types, styles, and price ranges of treadmills exist, many of them offer unique features like a fold-up design for easy storage, an electronic display monitor showing speed, distance, workout time, incline level, and burned calories, and EKG grip pulses to monitor the heart rate while exercising. Regardless of the simple to complex features you may choose, treadmills offer an array of aerobic exercise opportunities that will provide long-lasting beneficial cardiovascular results without a commute to the gym or a jog in the rain.

Customer Reviews

Non-functioning1
This treadmill worked for a 30 minute workout and the next day wouldn't turn on. The company was very slow and unwilling to assist with repairs. After 78 days, the treadmill still doesn't work. Poor quality, poor service.

Basic, reliable, well priced.5
I got this on a weekend buster deal directly from the proform website, so the price was great for the features I wanted.
It does require assembly, but my husband and I got it put together, (well okay, he mainly did... I did minimal hold this and balance it type stuff), in under an hour, it actually took us longer to get it out of the box than to put it together.
It operates quietly and smoothly, with a very fast "up to speed" time and quick incline changes.
I can change the background color on the console, which is nice when I'm up early in the morning and its fairly dark, I don't have to have a eye hurting bright light.
I've used the trainer options, which are nice, but prefer to just do my own pace setting.
You can't change the beep volume, or the trainer volume, but it doesn't bother me or my household since really, at that point they're either asleep or turning up the volume on the tv or doing their own thing. My feet pounding the treadmill are probably more annoying in terms of noise than an occasional beeping.
The fan is a nice feature, but I find it loud and not really too effective. On super hot days though it's great. But average days, eh, I don't bother.
Also, the handles are short. I actually prefer them this way. I can do hand weight work without knocking a railing, but it also keeps your hands off... no using them to keep your pace up!
The heart monitor built into the handle is pretty accurate, but sometimes it takes it a couple tries.
All in all, this is a great treadmill. I have no complaints, and actually I am pretty much constantly praising it.

other things you need to know2
- The beep sound that the machine makes when changing settings is very loud and there is no way you can turn it off.
- The console looks like there are two speakers but in reality, there is only one.
- There are tow handgrip pulse sensors, but only the one on the right is actually doing the sensing.
- The louver for the fan is not adjustable and it is not that strong, even at high speed.
- Some assembbly is required.
- Stay tune for more to come. I just got this treadmill a week ago from Pro-form's website.
