Black Kabouli Garbanzo Bush Bean Cicer arietinum 18-24 in. Hardy Annual This famed variety from stories and legends of the Middle East is said to attract thunderstorms when flowering. A cool weather crop, cultured like peas, this spring planted, black-seeded variety produces 2 ft. plants with an abundance of two-seeded pods. Plant directly in garden, 6 seeds per foot in rows 18-36 in. apart when danger of frost has passed. All beans do better when innoculated with rhizobial bacteria prior to planting.
