Amazon.com Review
Offering a basic array of various shapes and sizes, this versatile set furnishes a kitchen with seven rugged plastic containers for storing food in prime condition. Tupperware's legendary seals--virtually airtight and moisture-proof--ensure that food remains fresh and flavorful. The set consists of three rectangles (8-1/2-cup, 18-cup, and 27-1/2-cup sizes), two squares (5-cup and 11-cup sizes), and two ovals (7-1/4-cup and 11-3/4-cup units). Perfect for staples such as flour, sugar, and granola, they work equally well in the refrigerator for fruits, vegetables, and leftovers and on the counter for cookies and crackers. The various shapes work together to save cabinet space. Coming in Tupperware's classic Sheer Ice color, each has a clear window for identifying contents and features the capacity embossed on the bottom. Virtually unbreakable and dishwasher-safe, Tupperware products carry a lifetime warranty against chipping, cracking, breaking, and peeling.
This seals on this set are colored Bold 'n' Blue. Other Modular Mates (which are also available in round and extra-large oval shapes) come with hunter green or black seals, offering color-coordination choices for a kitchen and a color-coding system for storage. --Fred Brack

Tupperware is just Dreamy
Earl Tupper wanted to enable homemakers to keep food fresh and appealing in a dry environment of the new gas and electric refrigerators flooding the postwar market. He created plastic products featuring a virtually airtight seal suited to protect food from this new drier environment. And as they say, the rest is history.
Firstly, let it go on record that I have had a long standing love affair with Tupperware since I was a very young child and happily remember tossing all my mother's Tupperware bowls about the kitchen.
Tupperware is mainly used for dry food storage in my kitchen and the green lid color is pleasing and fits into many color schemes.
The durability of this product is incredible. While the lids on the containers used to be more flexible, it does seem they become easier to remove and replace over time (a matter of a few months to a year of use).
These are the types of containers you want to store brown sugar in. They are almost airtight. Everything you store in them keeps much longer.
Don't worry about breaking a nail trying to open one of these containers! There is a lovely little tab on one edge. They also don't seem to mind being tossed in the dishwasher now and then.
So much Tupperware, so little time.
