disappointed
Our 4 year old loves R. Scarry - Lowley the worm one of our favorites. We were extraordinarily disappointed with "A Day at the Police Station". An infant lost from the mom, a ghost in the bathroom (great help for potty training) I mean come on. Weak effort, not thought out - too bad. 3/4 of the book is great but that 1/4 just overwhelming.
Very cute book
This book is a very cute rendition of what a day in the life of a police officer is like.
Flashback to childhood!
I love Richard Scarry and have some wonderful memories of being read his books as a child. I wanted that experience for my children and the books brought me back a significant amount of nostalgia and feelings of comfort.
Each page is loaded with beautifully illustrated pictures that allow for extended conversation and what if questions to engage the child. We easily spent half an hour talking about all of the cute little images packed into each page.
Wonderful fun, wonderful memories!
