Poorly Practice Problems
Q & A's are hit and miss, Professor Weaver's and Jordan's episode of the Q & A is unfortunately a miss.
My biggest problem with the book is that the practice problems are poorly drafted and comically so at points. Almost every multiple-choice question includes an option that is "Not all of the above" or "None of the above". Once or twice, maybe, but the option's presence in every problem suggests to me that the authors weren't being serious when they wrote these problems.
The authors fail again, to wit, in their explanations and answers of the problems. They are sparse to the extreme and inherently block the student from understanding meaningful analysis of the issue. As a matter of fact, the questions seem entirely geared towards recollection of specific points, not of the blackletter law, but of cases. Though it is certainly important to have the blackletter law down pat, it's ridiculous for a practice problem book to ignore substantial analysis.
Far be it from me to impugn the learned professor's acumen, but I have a sneaking suspicion they cobbled this mess together on the fly and tried to pass it off as a Q& A. Save yourself the money and find another book of practice problems.
