Amazon.com Product Description
Cube World just got a little bigger. The Global Get A Way cube is four times the size of the small Cube World character cubes, and offers up a slew of new distractions through additional characters, animations, and games. Turn on the blue cube to see Trip, Global Get A Way’s main resident who relaxes on his beach front property until someone comes along to play with him.
You can have fun with Trip alone in many ways. You can watch him perform over 100 unique animations as he frolics outside. You can play the interactive game Jungle Jump in which you need to jump over coconuts rolling out of a tree. Or you can try to unlock up to 21 additional animations by catching bananas that a monkey is throwing at you from the tree. Global Get A Way will even keep track of your high score.

| Large and small Cube World cubes living in harmony. |
Whether they jet-set to the mountains, a sandy beach, a theme park, or some other fun place, it’s guaranteed to be a memorable vacation. When the helicopter brings the characters back home, a party complete with music and dancing may ensue, or the characters may just call it a day and head back to their respective cubes for some shut-eye. After four minutes of no interaction from you, Trip will go into sleep mode, complete with animated snoring after he lies down. After another minute of no movement, the cube will shut off to help conserve battery power. When you’re ready to play again, simply press the "on" button for Trip to appear.
If you have multiple Cube World cubes, you can connect up to 16 in any vertical and/or horizontal configuration to see them all interact together (even if there are more than one of the same character). Since each cube can hold up to four stick figures, this provides hours of unpredictable and thoroughly entertaining fun. The Global Get A Way cube requires three AAA batteries which are not included.

Not worth the money
The Radica Cube World Global Get A Way isn't nearly as much fun as I thought it would be. Basically, it isn't worth the money spent. We have all of the Cube World people and this item should have been an excellent add on. Unfortunately, there are only a few getaways, so it becomes boring very quickly. The little guys are way more interesting. Stick with them.
Global Get A Way A Fun Distraction
I purchased one for my husband and one for my 7 year old son. At the time, Amazon had them on sale for under 10 dollars. At that price, this toy is great! It does have sound, and is VERY loud. I put tape over the speaker and that helped, but everyone knows when it's running in the room. (Not so good for my husband to use at work after all.) Large screen much easier to see than the smaller "regular" cube world cubes. My 7 year old would rate this a 7 out of 5 stars for fun, but my husband gave it a 3 or a 4 star fun rating. My father-in-law and kids carried these from house to house Christmas day - they entertained everyone.
When used with other cubes, the characters visit each other, interact, and then return to their original cubes. Very simple graphics, but my boys love to watch the "tv's" as they call them.
If they go on sale again - you've gotta give these a try!
A toy? Well yes and no...
I see many reviews for the cube world items that seem to complain about lasting playability. What I think those people seem to be getting wrong is that they think of these devices like normal toys. Cube world is NOT a toy... well it is, but it isn't.
If you're thinking of buying one of these then you need to be in the right mind set. Think of Cube World like those perpetual motion desk devices or magnetic sculptures. You know the ones I mean? Like the five silver balls on swinging wires, the slowly undulating surfer/sailboat on the ocean, lava lamps, or the hundred tiny little metal acrobats on the magnetic black platform.
Personally, I think Cube World is meant for adults and adult-minded children. You'll buy them, be amused for a while watching the funny things they do alone and how they interact when you link them. You'll play the simplistic "tap the button at the right time" games. You'll do this a lot for a few days then you'll sit it on your desk and almost forget about it. When people walk by they'll get curious, pick them up and play for a bit and you'll get amused by their amusement. When you're procrastinating from doing the bills, your homework, that project that has to be in on Monday, you'll pick them up and play with them all over again.
Cube World is not so much a toy as a VERY amusing distraction that you can come back to again and again... like a Rubik's cube.
