Cube World Series 5
This is one of the 4 cubes available with a "mod" unit (known as series 5). Hip Hop is a graphiti painting punk with a low rider. The mod can attach to any cube in series 5 and adds extra animations and a cool beat!
The mod will need batteries when you open the package (the cubes run on a button battery that is available at my drug store). Even though the mod creates a fair amount of sounds, the batteries have not drained in the time we've owned them.
My son has a great time playing the little games for scores in the cube, and we all love watching the interactions. Hip Hop seems to be one of the more sociable cubes and entertains vistitors from other cubes most of the time.
Great for fun, but not as a game
I got these cubes to finish out my set. I have all of them. I really enjoy turning them on and watching them go from cube to cube. I do like the additional features available on the ones with the extra boxes, though. This extra box does not turn off, though, and I have to remove the batteries to get it to shut down. So I just don't use it.
I do not like any of the 'game' features, though, as there are no instructions on how to play them (even in the enclosed manual), how they score, etc.
They are cute little things, but not sure they're worth the price. I collect them so I fork it over willingly.
