Cube World Mods Sci-Fi allows you to continue growing your Cube World, while tweaking your favorite characters' animations. Cube World has four new citizens: Arcade, Splash, Sci-Fi and Hip Hop. Pretty cool little toy
My boys (4 and 8 years) got these for Christmas. My little one got Hip Hop ad my older son got Sci Fi. The neat thing is that when attached (magnets) they interact with each other and it increases the activity ten-fold. The little stick guys enter and exit each other's boxes and multiply to as many as 4 guys at once. I am not overly sensitive, but think their interactions can be a little bit disturbing. The Hip Hop guy commonly steals Sci Fi's wallet and starts fights. As time went on, Sci Fi began to finally defend himself and fight off Hip Hop. I found myself playing with it occasionally. My neighbor's son (almost 10 years old) who is a video game nut really liked them and I plan to get him a couple for his birthday. My little boy liked it, but I would say it appeals more to kids over 6 years of age.

Series 5 of Cube World
This is one of the 4 cubes available with a "mod" unit (known as series 5). Sci-Fi does work in his chemistry lab and also plays with lasers. The mod, a particle excellerator can attach to any cube in series 5 and add extra animations.
The mod will need batteries when you open the package (the cubes run on a button battery that is available at my drug store). Even though the mod creates a fair amount of sounds, the batteries have not drained in the time we've owned them.
My son has a great time playing the little games for scores in the cube, and we all love watching the interactions. Sci-fi is particularly fun for us as we are tech heads.
