Editorial Reviews
From the Manufacturer
This little wooden car is versatile and fun. A metal handle bar makes this car a wonderful walker. Children can also ride in the car with foot-to-floor action. A wide base makes this car stable and safe for little ones. Kids love the honking horn and working steering.

++4 Rating!
This is one 'hell of a car'! Solid (real wood parts!), well-designed, decent instructions, etc. I'm pretty handy so this was not too difficult to assemble except for positioning of the front end pieces with pulling the two sides together via the long retaining bolts (took a little tricky hand / tool work). Manufacturer supplied parts and tool were great--extra 2 wheel axle caps a very good idea because I broke one during assembly and they thoughtfully supplied a spare.
The best part, though, was the look on my grandson's face at his birthday party (his 1st) when we pulled out the assembled car--priceless! It was so intuitive he immediately turned the steering, pushed the horn button, etc. In no time he was pushing the car around by the back handle, too.
This car was such a hit that at one point adults were separating 3 cousins (all under two y.o.!) from trying to get into the car and play with it all at one time. Definitely a high recommendation!
awesome toy!
My almost 11 mo. old son just received this walker/car for Christmas. He's been playing with it for 12 days now and he LOVES it!!! It just brought the hugest smile to his face when he first saw it. I thought he would mainly be pushing it from behind at this age, but he really loves sitting in it and being pushed by his siblings while he "steers" the most. It is very easy for him to push it himself as well--it turns super easy because of the hidden caster wheels--the front wheels that you see in the photo are just for looks. I put it together myself in about 20 minutes. The instructions were very well written and easy to follow. It just took a few simple tools. It seems to be very sturdy. We've already had a couple of other little ones over who also played with it. It seems to be a good toy for two kids to share at once since one can ride in it while the other one pushes. At this age my son has also mastered making it go backwards with his feet while sitting in it. Just a great all around toy. I looked at other walkers--the reviews for the radio flyer walker wagon say that it's really hard for the little ones to turn it, so I decided against that one. A friend's son has a walker/shopping cart made by Plan toys, but it tips over easy and doesn't have the dual fun feature of being able to ride in it also. So I decided on this toy and I'm happy with the purchase. And since these good quality walker toys are so expensive I like that he can get so many years of use out of this one (it's designed for use up to 4 yo).
Great car with one problem
My son received this car for his first birthday and has loved it ever since (he turns two next month). He LOVES pushing it around, getting in and out of it, scooting around in it and getting pushed around in it. I was super disappointed when last week the front swivel wheels that are hidden underneath the car broke off. First one and then the next day the other one. The car is still functional with the four wheels on it but what made the car so easy to manuever was the swivel wheels underneath. I am going to contact the manufacturer to see if anything can be done.Radio Flyer Classic Red Car
