	1939-1946 by Benny Goodman & His Orchestra No big band collection is complete without Benny Goodman. This is a great way to start with his music.
	Artie Shaw - Greatest Hits by Artie Shaw Buy new: $6.99 / Used from: $3.41 Another clarinet master as well as Goodman's arch-rival. I think there was plenty of room for music by both guys. Great stuff!
	16 Most Requested Songs by Duke Ellington Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $0.70 Ah yes, the Duke. His true musical genius shines with every tune here.
	The Kid from Red Bank: The Complete 1938-1947 Recordings by Count Basie Buy used from: $60.40 I remember hearing this while growing up. No wonder Frank Sinatra made a few albums with Count Basie.
	Blowin' Up a Storm: The Columbia Years, 1945-1947 by Woody Herman Buy used from: $30.99 The Woodsman made great music with and without the Herd. A nice collection here.
	I've Heard That Song Before: Hits of Harry James by Harry James & His Orchestra Buy new: $15.99 / Used from: $34.75 Harry James made some of the most beautiful music ever recorded. Sweet trumpet playing with golden voiced songbirds.. What more could you ask for?
	The Best of the Big Bands by Kay Kyser Buy used from: $2.00 Kay Kyser & his college of musical knowledge. A few tunes here include a very young Mike Douglas(he of course of tv talkshow fame). All of Kay's singers were great.
	Racing with the Moon by Vaughn Monroe Buy used from: $1.44 One of the few bandleaders that liked to sing as well as conduct. All sensational stuff here.
	Skyliner: 1940-1945 by Charlie Barnet & His Orchestra Known primarily for his monster hit Cherokee, this proves he could do it all.
	Artistry in Rhythm by Stan Kenton and His Orchestra Buy used from: $34.34 Stan Kenton & his band did some great work here, including some tunes as done by his wife, June Christy.
	Best of the Big Bands by Les Brown Buy used from: $1.98 Every track here is great. No wonder he was Bob Hope's backup band. Really catchy stuff here, too.
