easy and works
ive been using the splat colors for years, not only in my hair but also in friends' hair... i use the pink my self, but the first time i put it in i was going from black hair to white to bleach it all out and it was past my shoulders... so i did have to go out and buy more bleach.. but the color does last longer than the 6 weeks it even says... if your going for a pink that yor not willing to maintain and you dont want to get out any time soon go for this, because when i cut my hair and bleached it out to white again it took two professional bleaches (i went to salon to get it done.. although i missed color so about a month later i put it back in parts... but warning if you only use on parts of your hair and you have blonde hair it will bleed in to it and make it a lighter pink... but the intense color lasts months and will bleed in the shower for a while, it will slow down toward the end of the first month and to make the color last even longer i recommend washing your hair in cold water and not every day and use a good color protecting shampoo (i use aveda color conserve)

in a nut shell.... i love the stuff and use it all the time, for my self and others... but you need to take care of it if you want it to stay in for a long time

Worth the purchase
The bleach didn't work for beans, but the hair dye was very intense and brilliant. I thought it would be muddy like the manic panic colors but it's much more vibrant. I've had it in my hair for about a month now and it's still going strong.

Long Lasting Color
This product, if used with bleach, leaves a very vivid and intense hair color that has lasted for over five months for me so far.

There are a few drawbacks though: it really is very messy. I've used natural color hair dyes for years now, and never had a mess issue. But this stuff is serious about the mess warnings. The dye will wash off of the skin within a week (I used a little alcohol to help strip it), but it's better to just use petroleum jelly.

And, secondly, if you hair is even slightly longer than your shoulders, you need to buy more than one kit. Neither the bleach or the dye in one kit was enough for my hair, only slightly past my shoulders, so I needed to purchase two to get the entire effect. It's worth it, but it's a warning that should be taken into consideration.

That said, it's a very nice, if slightly messy (three months later and the color still runs in the shower) hair dye.
