Disappointed
I was very disappointed in this product. The main problem I had was that it smoked up my entire house when I cooked bacon. I removed the bacon, and the smoke was so bad, I had to open all the doors and windows so it wouldn't set the fire alarm off. I was using the temp listed in the manual for bacon. I lowered the temp and the smoke still occurred.

One of the reasons I bought this griddle/grill was because it was dishwasher safe as I hate washing dishes. I was very disappointed when I discovered that it was to long to fit in the dishwasher and I had to wash it by hand.

It is ok for making some things such as grilled cheese sandwiches, but the overall hassle/annoyance factor isn't worth it. I have used my griddle 2 times now, and I am ready to get rid of it. I can get the same results with a good frying pan and the clean up is a LOT easier.

It's a Giant That Does the Job !
First of all, this is a really big grill and it's heavy. Don't buy it if you are looking for a grill you can use indoors or move outdoors a lot because it is quite large. If you have the counterspace, and you like to grill indoors, I think you will love it !!

It cooks really fast, and with the changeable grill surface, you can use it for pancakes, bacon and eggs for a crowd, or steaks and fish for a family. It's easy to clean and it's been quite reliable so far.

I love the versatility and the fact that you don't have to cook a meal in 3 separate pans. You can probably cook the whole protein portion of your meal on this grill at one time, unless you are cooking for more than 6 people.

The other nice thing is that you can put this out on a table with the hot food prepared, and let your guests serve themselves. It works like a hotplate as well, which is great !

I highly recommend this product and all of Wolfgang's products.

Fantastic for pancakes
Bought this at a local warehouse club. Works great. Heats very evenly. The grill side tend to collect grease and carbon and not drain well, but the griddle side is great. (The included scraper helps keep it draining). You can do two very nice sized pancakes at once, and they both cook well. It's quite heavy, which gives it it's good heat capacity.

It doesn't fit in the dishwasher. You might be able to squeeze it in if your washer is shaped just right, or you take out a silverware rack, but don't count on it. But it cleans up pretty easily in the sink. I knew it wouldn't fit in my dishwasher when I looked at it, and I really like the size for making a bunch of pancakes for the family at once so I don't count the size against it too much.

I've cooked a variety of meats on it as well. Chicken works out well because it's low grease, but cooking hamburger will leave you a three piece cleaning job (grill, drip tray, and plastic base, which almost always gets dirty).

I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. It's not quite four-star worthy.
