Very Pleasant Book5
Must read if you are a fan of Mr.Hoffers work. Written 8 years after retirement, it is a collection of his thoughts during a 6 month period. After that he said he would take a Sabbath, thus the title; Before The Sabbath. The main purpose of this work was for him to examine how Age affected his brains ability to remember, think and function. He said the most notable effect aging had on him was in his Alertness level. If you liked On the Waterfront, you will like this read.
