Freeing yourself from the illusion4
David Icke is one of the most controversial "conspiracy theorists" in the world. He has both a dedicated following and some influential enemies who do their best to silence him. Some criticize him for not being original. True, most of his ideas can be found elsewhere, but he has an exceptional ability to synthesize theories and explain them in an easy to understand and entertaining style. He also draws a lot from contemporary culture, especially movies, as with his use of the term "matrix" to describe our current state. This is not a bad thing; Icke believes (and I agree) that films like The Matrix series are not simply entertainment, but contain actual information about the world we live in, or the world we believe we live in. This, in fact, is his main message: that virtually everything we have been taught to believe by mainstream society is false. Governments, the media, big business, mainstream medicine, education and so forth, all promote an agenda designed to keep us deceived and enslaved. Some of the most controversial material in his books are the "reptilians." In this book, he integrates this theory with the idea of a holographic universe. Again, this is not an original theory (the holographic theory was popularized by Michael Talbot, who Icke quotes at length here), but one well worth introducing to more people. In a later section, he describes his mystical experiences after taking ayahuasca, a hallucinogenic plant used in the Amazon. He describes what a voice, which identifies itself as the Infinite, tells him --that we are caught in this illusory "time loop" and that the only reality is Oneness or infinite love. Now this is pretty much what mystics have always said, but, again, Icke explains it very well (whether you believe he is giving a literal account of a genuine experience or telling us what the voice of the Infinite might say). If I have any criticism of the book (and Icke's style in general), it is that he spends at least 90% of the book telling us about all the lies, brutality and deception (the sections on the US war against Iraq are especially depressing and graphic) and the other 10% telling us how it's all an illusion. Even though he concludes by saying we should neither fear nor hate those who are deceiving us, the sheer quantity of evil deeds he exposes makes it difficult to walk away with a positive outlook. I would like to see him shift his emphasis a little more in the direction of the mysticism he clearly embraces and give a little less attention to all the darkness. Not that we should deny the darkness, but once you know it's there, it becomes redundant to identify every form it takes. If you really want to understand what lies behind the apparent reality of events, you should read this book.

His other books are great, but this is The One, The Gift5
I began reading the Icke books years ago and have to admit that some of the information sounded way too far out there for me to grasp. But over the years and after a bit of maturing, I finally realized that my definition of what Life is was not necessarily the correct one. There is a beauty to Life that fills one's heart with a joy beyond definition. David Icke has this joy. But, in Icke's quest to present all of the truth (and sometimes the truth is not pretty) he also reveals the horrors of this life, the things that hurt our senses. I don't like reading about the horrors, yet something in me says that what Icke is stating is true. If we want to understand what's going on in this world, we have to be able to accept the whole truth. The first half of this newest book contains a synopsis of many of his other books (so one doesn't have to read all of them in order to "catch up"), but the second half is the most beautiful, magnificent testimony of love and hope that I have ever had the privilege to read. The world is in a very bad way right now and we all know it. Icke explains what happened and how all of us have to pull together in order to return "reality" to its true state of awesome potential. In place of hatred, denial, and bitterness over what's going on in this world, replace that with love for our fellow humans. In place of resentment over what world leaders are doing to our "home" with their ignorant arrogance, let our minds, hearts, and bodies resonate with the power of love - true, compassionate, honest, down-to-earth, beautiful love and perhaps that love will create a new kind of world, one based on kinship with our fellow human beings. One has to read this book with an open mind and heart and then will realize that Icke's words are true. Scientists know that the world is not a conglomeration of separate life-forms desperately trying to survive (as world leaders want us to believe). We are all One; all of Life is One. The current world system promotes feeling separated, alone, and isolated (what a bad feeling that is). Scientists know though, that everything in our experience is part of One Life, One Love, One Gift. We humans all possess the same Universal elements and are very much alike. The only thing that creates differences is our beliefs and thoughts (and how much of the world system nonsense we choose to believe). Peace and love to all of you, and especially to David Icke who is a courageous, warm, loving human being who truly cares for his fellow humans. Thanks, David, you really did a beautiful job.

It's wake up time!5
It's hard to add anything new to what has already been written here about 'Time Loop'. I echo everyone else's sentiments entirely .

All I would add is this: for anyone who is considering buying this book , but is feeling a bit "But, it's David Icke !!", just go with your instincts and curiousity, and buy it anyway - we won't tell! ;-)

Seriously, there's a reason why so much of the media attempts to discredit David : it's because he speaks, and writes, the truth. The more people who see through this media speak (sorry, lies), and start to take some tentative steps towards discovering what's really happening for themselves...well, it will benefit us all enormously. More than you can imagine.

So, don't worry if you've never bought another book like this before. Just dive in. There's a reason you're drawn to this - and I believe it's because, like the rest of us, you're waking up. Try some of his other books as well - I particularly enjoyed the 'World Trade Center' one.

David's style of writing is good - I sometimes get lost in all the facts and figures, but these are essential and you have to 'go with them'! He's also very funny, and his ability to really hit the nail on the head is mindblowing . You just KNOW he's telling the truth.

The reptiles ? Why would he tell the truth about everything else, but just lie about this one aspect ? I don't think so . As with everything else in David's books, there's just too much evidence and it all fits together that bit too well for it not to be true. And it's fundamental to everything else he's presenting .

Please do yourself a huge favour, and buy 'Time Loop'. Read it -then recommend it to someone you know!
