I bought this for my 5 yr old son when he was having some behavioral issues at school. It explains that it is ok to have emotions and up and down days - it is part of being five and trying to figure out the world. At the same time, it is a silly book and makes him laugh. I think it made him feel better the more times we read it.

Although we got this book when my son was potty training, he still loves to look at it and he laughs and laughs as it discusses all the ways different animals (and humans) poop. It is one of the funniest kids books I've ever read - even my mother-in-law laughed when she read it to him. It really did help him go on the potty back when he was 2.5-3.

All of the "Diary" books are pretty funny. My son likes Worm and Fly the best.

Who doesn't remember best friends Frog and Toad? I'm so glad my son likes these books. They have them at his school and he went to see a live production of this book too and loved it!
