Second of the robot novels and my personal favorite. Solaria, a planet where people are afraid to meet in person, has even more relevance today than when it was written because of the growth of the Internet.

Even though Baley has passed on by this point, his robotic partner, R. Daneel Olivaw, and his robotic friend Giskard, continue trying to safeguard Earth while having their progress impeded by their compulsion to follow the 3 Laws of Robotics.

The second prequel to the Foundation Series falls flat and is only recommendable to fans that have read the entire series and still want more even if the quality of writing is worse.

The second of the original trilogy of Foundation books gives further details on how the Foundation will survive in spite of the universe becoming more uncivilized around it.

Although it was written many years after the original trilogy, this book shows us just how strongly the Foundation is being safeguarded. The main character, Trevize, is also more well developed compared to characters in the previous books, probably because he is actually present throughout the book.
